BRET MICHAELS On POISON's Tour With M?TLEY CR?E and DEF LEPPARD: 'That Is The Rumor'

Bret Michaels has addressed rumors that POISON will will hit the road next year for a U.S. tour with fellow hard rock acts M?TLEY CR?E and DEF LEPPARD. Sources recently told Rolling Stone magazine that the three acts will perform at stadiums around the country.

While being interviewed by Fox11 last week (see video below), Michaels would not confirm reports that POISON was planning to tour with M?TLEY CR?E and DEF LEPPARD, choosing only to smile and say "That is the rumor" when confronted with the Rolling Stone report.

Fueling speculation that an official announcement regarding the tour is imminent, POISON's web site now features a countdown clock that is scheduled to hit zero on Wednesday (December 4) at 1:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. ET.

Michaels has repeatedly stated in recent interviews that POISON will return to the road in 2020 and he claimed he was "working real hard" to put together an "incredible" and "really awesome" package tour with other acts.

Two weeks ago, M?TLEY CR?E announced that it was coming out of retirement, nearly four years after playing what was billed as the band's final concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

CR?E fans who shelled out for the band's 2014/2015 "farewell" tour were led to believe that the group would never return after completing the trek. The band touted the signing of a pre-tour "cessation of touring" agreement as cementing the fact it truly was the end of CR?E's life on the road.

In 2018, POISON completed the "Nothin' But A Good Time" tour with CHEAP TRICK and POP EVIL.

POISON's last album of new material was 2002's "Hollyweird". An album of covers, "Poison'd", followed in 2007.
