IRON MAIDEN's BRUCE DICKINSON Discusses Aircraft Maintenance And Training Company CAERDAV (Video)

Bruce Dickinson, IRON MAIDEN singer and owner of aircraft maintenance and training company Caerdav (formerly Cardiff Aviation Ltd.), talked to James Pozzi at MRO Europe 2019 about why the company is setting up a new paint facility and how it will affect future business and workforce.

This past June, Cardiff announced it was changing its name to Caerdav as the business planned to launch a new range of training and maintenance support services. Caerdav aimed to soon introduce a dedicated line maintenance team and cabin crew attestation, expanding the company’s training capability to beyond the cockpit.

Dickinson said: "It was a real moment of pride to found the business in 2012, and I can't thank our engineers and instructors enough for their incredible work and commitment to date. Together with our management team, they make Caerdav a truly independent center of excellence for aviation engineering and training."

Caerdav's military-grade maintenance hangars primarily provide maintenance for the Boeing 737 and Airbus 320 families of aircraft. Its training centre incorporates two B747 full-motion simulators and an S-61 helicopter simulator.

Caerdav is a fully-approved and certified MRO and pilot training company based at the St Athan – Cardiff Airport Aerospace Enterprise Zone in South Wales, United Kingdom.

Operating from a former RAF maintenance base equipped with 6,000ft ILS runway and parking for up to 20 narrow-bodied airliners, Caerdav specialises in MRO work for Airbus 320s and Boeing 737s, and provides complete training for airline pilots and cabin crew.
