AEROSMITH Feels Las Vegas Residency Reignited Its Passion For Playing Livecom/2019/music/news/aerosmith-las-vegas-residency-vip-1203299319/" target="_blank">Variety about the shows, with guitarist Joe Perry explaining: "This has been an incredible opportunity to play a smaller version of our regular show in an intimate seating [and] a way to present the heart and soul of the band's essence with added elements you wouldn't have ever been able to do in a one-night-only setting. It's something very different than what we have ever done before." The band enlisted THE BEATLES archival producer Giles Martin, who co-designed the sound for Cirque Du Soleil's THE BEATLES "Love" show, to supervise its sound in Vegas. Steven Tyler shed light on how the production in Vegas makes everything else pale in comparison. "The sound takes everything about this show to the next level, and it's a 360 experience; full immersion," he said. "Nowhere else can fans hear what I'm hearing and see what I'm seeing like they can at our show. We found the best people we could for every aspect of the show. Whether it was the lights, sound, mechanics, all the moving parts, we had the best people." Drummer Joey Kramer credits the Vegas show for bringing back the passion for playing "some of the songs we've played hundreds of times before. We all still really enjoying performing together," he said. "Music is the ultimate antidepressant. There's really no reason for us to stop. Everybody is re-excited about this residency and reignited about doing it; it hasn't gotten old yet." Guitarist Brad Whitford went on to say: "When I look up at all the people when I am playing, and see all of our fans, all of the love, I think to myself, 'Wow, thank you, each and every one of you for being here with us.' This is the one thing AEROSMITH can say we did right in this life." AEROSMITH is scheduled to play 17 more shows in Las Vegas before the end of the year — four in September, four in October, seven in November, and two in December. The band also has multiple-night "Deuces Are Wild" engagements booked at MGM properties in Atlantic City, New Jersey; and Springfield, Massachusetts. In 2017, AEROSMITH announced a run of dates called "Aero-Vederci Baby!", but stopped short of calling it a final tour. AEROSMITH hasn't released a new studio album since 2012's "Music From Another Dimension!".
