VINCE NEIL Ordered To Pay Former Lawyers $170,000

 
According to The Blast, M?TLEY CR?E singer Vince Neil has been ordered to pay his former lawyers $170,000 after he accused them of overbilling him because he is famous.

A judge has ordered the rocker has to cough up $148,962.50 for fees and $21,207.06 in court costs for a grand total of $170,169.56.

Last December, the lawyers at Howard & Howard Attorneys, PLLC filed court documents claiming that they were owed $187,364.01. They were requesting the judge allow them to hit Vince with a lien in that amount.

Despite Neil's alleged failure to pay his attorneys, they said they continued to work on a lawsuit filed against Vince back in 2016 by a woman who said the singer attacked her outside the Aria hotel in Vegas. Neil's alleged assault resulted in "substantial medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and emotional distress," according to the lawsuit. She was seeking $75,000 in compensatory damages in addition to $75,000 in punitive damages and legal fees.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Neil disputed the bill from Howard & Howard Attorneys, explaining that he was overcharged "for numerous legal services based upon his status as a celebrity. Many of the charges in Howard & Howard's billing are questionable at best."

He took issue with a specific bill where he was charged $1,784.50 for 4.3 hours spent on writing a letter relating to the case.

Neil said he is well known in the Las Vegas community and "maintains a celebrity status as a successful rock and roll entertainer."

In his response to the 2016 assault lawsuit, Neil demanded the case be thrown out, denying the allegations of wrongdoing and accusing the woman of only seeking publicity.

This wasn't Vince's first brush with the law. Back in 2011, he served 10 days of a 15-day DUI sentence in connection with a June 2010 incident when he was speeding and weaving between lanes on Desert Inn Road west of Paradise Road, near the Las Vegas Strip, authorities said.

In 1984, Neil smashed his car into another vehicle in Redondo Beach, California, killing HANOI ROCKS drummer Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley and seriously injuring two other occupants.

Neil was charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol. His blood alcohol level was 0.17, which was over the legal limit.

Neil served half of a 30-day jail sentence, received five years probation and had to pay $2.6 million in restitution, as well as perform 200 hours of community service.
