WHITESNAKE's DAVID COVERDALE Doesn't Tolerate Rudeness On Social Media"We [in WHITESNAKE] are very fortunate that a lot of people want the hard copy — CD — but my son's 22 years old," David told Terri Knight of the 102.7 The Bear radio station (hear audio below). "He never bought a CD; everything is [on] his iPhone. I used to have flight cases made with my DJ cassettes I'd made. [Laughs] And now everything is contained in a couple of iPhones — two hundred thousand pieces of music. It's crazy. But I wanna ride that digital wave, hopefully without embarrassing myself and others." According to Coverdale, he sees social media as a way to connect with his fans without ever engaging in hostile behaviors that may be offensive to others. "The Internet, to me, is an astonishing way for me to use in a positive way — entertain, engage, inform, promote and interact with people who supported my music all over the world," he said. "I post a lot of memes that are uplifting. I don't post anything I don't believe in or subscribe to. And the circumstance is that that's all I wanna do. And if you're posting or tweeting me, all I ask is that this is my cyberspace. If you're rude, then you'll be asked to leave in no uncertain terms. I wanna maintain that positivism as much as I can." WHITESNAKE's new album, "Flesh & Blood", will be released on May 10 via Frontiers Music Srl. The disc follows the 2011 critically acclaimed studio album "Forevermore" and 2015's "The Purple Album", a reimagining of DEEP PURPLE classics from Coverdale's time in that band. Joining Coverdale on "Flesh & Blood" is the powerhouse band comprised of Reb Beach and Joel Hoekstra on guitar, Michael Devin on bass, Tommy Aldridge on drums, and Michele Luppi on keyboards. .
