Former ANGRA Singer ANDR? MATOS Died Of Heart AttackAndr? performed last Sunday (June 2) at the Espa?o das Am?ricas in S?o Paulo with SHAMAN and also made a guest appearance with the show's headliners, AVANTASIA. In addition to recording the vocals and keyboards on ANGRA's 1993 debut album, "Angels Cry", Andr? was the composer and arranger of nine of the ten tracks on the LP, including "Carry On", which is still considered to be one of ANGRA's most popular songs. Matos also handled lead vocals on ANGRA's "Holy Land" (1996) and "Fireworks" (1998) albums. Matos, along with bassist Luis Mariutti and drummer Ricardo Confessori, left ANGRA in 2000 and launched SHAMAN (later known as SHAAMAN due to legal issues). Andr? then went on to pursue a solo career while continuing to stay involved with a number of outside projects.
